Just before bed comes a terrific trio:
Jessica Carstens: Earning a Master's in elementary education, also an academic counsellor at the University of Phoenix, from Scottsdale, AZ
Elaine Kirkland: Works for a major airline, from Decatur, GA

Chris Shields: Retired NYC firefighter with Ladder 143, from Bayside, NY

They don't sound like they're going to be ready for bed anytime soon, so let's just do another Toss-Up.

This is why we watch. Not only for the gut punch, but the random acts of insanity that make you cheer for total strangers, the brothers doing "YMCA," or the wife jumping into her husbands arms which led to the greatest ad lib between Pat & Vanna, etc, etc, etc).

There's a reason this show has been on so long.

I'll never quit watching. Hopefully, you won't either.

Little whoops: Elaine actually called an S in Round 4. Definitely not an X. December 24, 2002 recap | Buy a Vowel Boards (37)

Meh, it gives me an excuse to look at other details that I accidentally left out, such as highlighting the winner's score at the end of the main game.

A number of recappers such as myself have templates. It speeds up the process, though there may be the occasional error such as forgetting a letter call (or leaving it as "X", in my case).

Regardless, thanks for the polite notes. December 24, 2002 recap | Buy a Vowel Boards (38)
