Rising Comedy Star Matt Rife Sets Ambitious 115-Date World Tour (2024)

Rising comedian Matt Rife has slated an ambitious 115-date world tour encompassing two years and three continents, it was announced on Monday (June 5).

Though he is widely viewed as a future standup star, few were prepared for the breadth of Rife’s upcoming run, dubbed the ProbleMATTic World Tour. Like many “overnight” success stories, the comedian has spent more than a decade building his career through touring, TV work and social media sites like TikTok and Instagram. At the age of 15, Rife opened for Ralphie May; he later joined the cast of MTV’s Wild ‘N Out and released two self-produced comedy specials. But his stardom is heavily indebted to social media, where he has built up a fan base of 14 million followers on TikTok and 1 million subscribers on YouTube.

Announced with a video featuring Ashton Kutcher (with a brief appearance from Kutcher’s wife, Mila Kunis), the marathon stretch, produced by Live Nation and booked by Rife’s agent Ari Levin at CAA, represents a massive milestone for the North Lewisburg, Ohio native.

Trending on Billboard

“We haven’t seen anything like this in 20 to 30 years,” says Levin, who was introduced to Rife by his manager, Christina Shams with Avesta Entertainment before signing with CAA in December.

“Every show that we’ve put up so far, we’ve sold out in presale in under 15 minutes,” Levin adds, noting that Rife’s videos on TikTok have more than 1 billion views combined. “It’s been a crazy ride and it couldn’t have happened to a better person.”

While the ProbleMATTic World Tour is spread out over a two-year period, the first 101 shows are packed into an 11-month run, starting with a July 20 date in Bend, Ore. and ending June 6, 2024, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville — a North American sprint that also encompasses four Australia dates in January. That comes out to an average of a Rife comedy show every three days for nearly a year.

Following a three-month break, Rife will embark on the European leg of the tour starting with a Sept. 3 show at SEC Armadillo in Glasgow, U.K. followed by shows in Amsterdam, London, Paris and more before concluding the tour on Friday, Oct. 20 at Santeria Toscana 31 in Milan, Italy.

Presale tickets are available now, with additional presales scheduled to run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday (June 9) at 10 a.m. local time. Tour dates are listed below, while tickets are available at MattRifeOfficial.com.
